PURPOSE:To improve the capacity performance in initial cycle of the charging and discharging of a paste electrode plate and improve the life performance by finely cutting a twine twisted with several polypropylene resin single-yarns of about 1 denier into pieces of the length of 5-10 mm and using them as an additive to the lead paste instead of synthetic resin fibers. CONSTITUTION:A twine 2-10g twisted with hydrocarbon resin single-yarns of about 1 denier is finely cut in the length of 5-10mm for the lead powder 1kg and added to the lead powder, sulfuric acid, and water and kneaded, the paste thus obtained is coated on a support body made of lead or lead alloy. The twine of polypropylene resin single-yarns added into the lead paste is kneaded, thus it keeps the porosity in the paste high, the water content is increased, the fluidity of the paste is increased, and the filling into the support body of a lead lattice is facilitated. The capacity performance in the initial cycle and the life performance can be thereby improved. |
