PURPOSE:To make possible dust removal and purification of air without replacing a filter, by stretching parallelly a plurality of wires having a hydrophilic surface so that water flows down along the wires from one end thereof. CONSTITUTION:In a water flow filter, wires 1 having a hydrophilic surface are arranged parallelly, each of which descending from one end toward the other. At one side of the wires 1 a device for supplying water are provided, while a discharge trough is provided at the other, down side of the wires 1. The wires 1 are coated with hydrophilic material to allow water to flow along them in a thin water film. Consequently, when contaminated air comes in contact with the wires 1, contaminants in the air are attracted to a water film to be removed and discharged therewith to the discharge trough. Therefore, contaminants are not attracted to the filter itself, so that cleaning and replacement thereof is not required.
