PURPOSE:To expand the radiation light and improve the utilization efficiency of the utilization line by providing multiple electromagnets generating the magnetic field component in parallel with the circling orbit plane in the magnetic field region generated by deflecting electromagnets and changing the exciting current with time. CONSTITUTION:Electromagnets M1-M4 for oscillation are connected in series, and the directions of generated magnetic fields BM1-BM4 are set in parallel with the circling orbit plane and opposite to each other for adjacent ones. Electrons are deflected to the upper side of the orbit by the magnet M1, to the lower side by the magnet M2, and to the upper and lower sides by the magnets M3, M4. A node is formed between the magnets M2, M3. If gaps between the upper and lower coils of the magnets M1-M4 are made equal and the magnetic field length of the magnets M2, M3 in the electron advance direction S is made twice as large as the magnetic field length of the magnets M1, M4, the advance direction SR0 of the radiation light at the outlet of the magnet M4 is vertically scanned in the upper and lower directions. The radiation light is thereby practically expanded, and the utilization efficiency of the radiation light utilization line is improved.
