PURPOSE:To provide a culture apparatus capable of utilizing seawater in high efficiency without discharging contaminated seawater from the system, by using seawater in a closed circuit, treating the water, controlling the temperature, increasing the oxygen content with ozone and sterilizing the water. CONSTITUTION:Seawater is supplied to individual fish tanks 3 through a seawater-supplying channel 1 and the seawater used in the tank is sent to a seawater-treating apparatus 4 via a seawater-returning channel 2. After removing the excrement and remaining feed in the treating apparatus 1, the temperature of water is controlled by a temperature controller 5 and seawater is supplied through a seawater-supplying channel. A sterilization means such as ozone is introduced into the seawater from a sterilization apparatus such as ozone generator 6 placed parallel to the seawater-supplying channel or integrated into the seawater-circulation system. The dissolved oxygen content in the seawater is increased by the introduction of ozone, etc.
