PURPOSE:To facilitate the start of program processing by taking information of a file, which is used at the time of program execution, into a load module and enabling a user to refer to this information at the time of program execution. CONSTITUTION:A file information part 4 of an application program 2 is preliminarily generated independently of a text part 3 by compilation and combinable editing. If the user wants to know file information of a file 7 at the time of using the application program 2 to perform the processing of the file 7, he inputs a prescribed command from a key input device 8. An interactive control part 6 discriminates this command to call a file information output utility 5. The file information output utility 5 refers to the file information part 4 built in the application program 2 by a prescribed external name and outputs it to a display device 9 or a printer 10 to present it to the user.
