<p>PURPOSE:To surely execute the position setting of a ring piston with good accuracy and to effect the roll profile control of a good rolling roll by controlling a servo valve by detecting the position in the axial direction of a ring piston by a position detecting sensor. CONSTITUTION:When the axial directional position of outsides ring pistons 5, 5' is varied, the position of the magnetic rod of the outside piston position sensors 25, 25' is varied and the varied insert position of the piston 5, 5' is directly detected. And when the axial directional position of inside ring pistons 4, 4' is varied, the axial directional position of the inside ring pistons 4, 4' is directly detected by inside piston position detecting sensors 25, 25'. The detection signal detected by the inside, outside piston position detecting sensors 17, 17', 25, 25' is led to a control device 26 via a rotary joint 11 and compared with a set positional signal. A control signal 27 is outputted if there be a difference in the value thereof, the change-over control of solenoid valves 13, 13' and servo valves 14, 14' is effected and the ring pistons 4, 4', 5, 5' are controlled so as to be at a pre-set position.</p> |
