PURPOSE:To improve the sharpness of a sensitive material and to increase the density of developed color and the sensitivity by using a specified yellow coupler. CONSTITUTION:A coupler represented by formula I is incorporated into at least one of emulsion layers. In formula I, R1 R1 is alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl, R2 is a group substitutable on the benzene ring, m is an integer of 0-4, in case of m>=2, groups R2 may be different from each other, R3 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl or -X-COO-Y, X is a bivalent combining group, Y is alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl, R4 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl, and R5 is alkyl. A sensitive material having increased density of developed color, improved sharpness and increased sensitivity is obtd. |
