PURPOSE:To obtain a molded body of an electroconductive compound oxide ceramic having superior characteristics by molding a mixture produced by admixing a binder with precipitate formed from a mixture of a rare earth element, alkaline earth element, Cu or Ti by a specified process, and drying the molded product. CONSTITUTION:Precipitate is formed by (a) allowing an aq. soln. contg. a rare earth element and an alkaline earth element to contact with alkali, then allowing an aq. soln. contg. Cu and/or Ti to contact with alkali in the presence of the precipitate to form further precipitate, or by (b) allowing an aq. soln. contg. Cu and/or Ti to contact with alkali to form precipitate, then allowing an aq. soln. contg. a rare earth element and an alkaline element to contact with alkali in the presence of the precipitate forming thus a precipitated product. Obtd. precipitate is, if necessary, dried and calcined, and molded by adding a binder without carrying out drying nor calcination, then the molded product is dried again and calcined to obtain thus an aimed molded ceramic body. |
