PURPOSE:To increase the mechanical strength of a sub-plate and to enable the blower to be miniaturized by bending the outer peripheral ends of the sub- plate having plural blades and an air intake to form the blower. CONSTITUTION:A blower is formed so that a multiblade impeller b is arranged in a volute type casing a. The impeller b is provided with many blades 5 of circular arc cross-section arranged parallel to a rotary shaft between a main plate 1 having a flat permanent magnet 2 outside and a sub-plate 3 having an air intake 4 at the center. The outer peripheral ends of the main plate 1 and sub-plate 3 are bent toward the outside of the impeller b, and their tips are projected from the impeller close to the internal surface of a casing (a). Thus, since the mechanical strength of the sub-plate 3 can be increased, many blades of short circular arc length can be installed. If the same performance as that used previously is required, the impeller can be miniaturized, and thus, a compact blower can also be made.
