A dental cap for the veneer of a jacket crown comprising a noble metal foil in substantially frusto-conical shape, which starting from a substantially circular foil piece is formed by folding the outer region in the direction towards the axis of rotation to form overlappings, the outer region of the foil piece being divided into flaps and the overlapping regions being joined inseparably together.
