PURPOSE:To heat only the necessary portion, prevent the deterioration of the degree of vacuum in the tube, and save the electric power and labor by energizing and heating conductors separate from a cathode heating heater to harden a base adhesive agent of a CRT in sealing an electron gun in a neck portion. CONSTITUTION:Conductors 15 are provided between the second grid 6 and stem leads 12. The conductors 15 serve to feed a current from stem leads 12 to the second grid 6, and although one conductor can fulfill the role, two conductors are provided by utilizing an idle pin of the stem lead 12 so that the conductors 15 can concurrently serve as a heater. A voltage is applied from the outside to the stem leads 12 fitted with the two conductors 15, thus heating the conductors 15 made of a heating element metal. This heating is performed at the same time as the activation process of a cathode 4, and when a power of 5w-8w in all is applied as quenching power the temperature at a stem 2 section can be increased to about 110-130 deg.C, thus even in case of a three-liquid-type silicone adhesive agent, it can be sufficiently hardened. |
