PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of an optical power meter by correcting the spectral sensitivity of a photodiode, by the output of a temperature sensor provided in the vicinity of a photodetecting part of the photodiode. CONSTITUTION:An optical signal from a photodiode 10, and a temperature signal from a temperature sensor which is not shown in the figure, provided in the vicinity of a photodetecting part of the diode 10 are inputted to an operational controller 13 through amplifiers 11, 11a and A/D converters 12, 12a. In a storage device 14 connected to the controller 13, a correction coefficient for correcting the spectral sensitivity of the diode 10 and magnitude of optical power of measured light is advance is stored. In such a state, with respect to an optical power signal which is inputted to the controller 13, an error caused by a temperature change is corrected, based on the correction coefficient in the storage device 14, and the accuracy of an optical power meter can be improved. |
