Novel cationic surface-active agent of the quaternary ammonium type, its preparation, and its use, in particular for treating textiles and cellulose materials

Described are novel surface-active agents of the quaternary ammonium type of the following formula: <IMAGE> where R1 and R'1, which are identical or different, are radicals having the following formula: <IMAGE> where n and p, which are identical or different, are 8 or 9; R2 and R'2, which are identical or different, are oxyalkylene radicals; x and x', which are identical or different, are integers between 4 and 24; and X is a suitable anion, in particular a halide or methosulphate. Also disclosed are a process for preparing the novel surface-active agents and their use as auxiliaries in formulations for treating textiles.
