<p>PURPOSE:To almost uniformize load on respective relay lines, by changing the values of the index numbers of modulo N in the relay header of a packet even after the connection of a call. CONSTITUTION:An outgoing exchange station 11, when the call being placed between an incoming exchange station is established, increments an initial value counter 15, and sets the initial values of index counters 16a-16e for the call in order. After that, the counter out of the counters 16a-16e corresponding to the call of a packet is incremented at every transmission of the packet from the outgoing exchange station 11, and the index number based on the counted value of the counters 16a-16e is set at the relay header. And a trunk circuit selecting means 6 selects the trunk circuits 31-33 based on the index number set in the relay header.</p> |
