PURPOSE:To facilitate exchange of a belt and to improve the productivity of continuous casting by providing each function for sending from coiler to belt stretching direction, cutting to the prescribed length and welding at the time of exchanging the worn belt to new belt. CONSTITUTION:End part guide tool 13 is held to insert both ends of a coil by approaching and separating one pair of upper and lower jaws 13a, 13b with suitable driving means. When the end of the coil 12 reaches to the belt holding jig 14, a cutter 15 is arranged at the position where length of the coil 12 going round pulleys 3 comes to the belt length. The rear end of the coil 12 cut to the prescribed length with the cutter 15 is carried to the belt holding jig 14 with a back end part guide tool 16. By this method, the front end and rear end of the coil 12 are held as touching or overlapping at the position of the belt holding jig 14. After that, the guide tools 13, 16 are detached from both ends of the coil 12. Under this condition, by mutually welding the end parts, the belt going round the pulleys 3 is obtd. |
