<p>PURPOSE:To prevent snow and icing effectively by winding a spiral rod with the winding diameter larger than the outer diameter of the wire and with weights installed at parts, to the outer periphery of the wire. CONSTITUTION:When snow or icing is canged on an electric wire 1, a torsional moment is generated to produce a rotary action of the wire 1. Since a spiral rod 2 itself has a gap 8 between the wire 1 and has weights 3 installed to the spiral rod itself in such a condition, the spiral rod 2 never rotates following the wire 1, even though the wire 1 rotats. As a result, a relative movement of positions is produced following the rotation of the wire 1 between the wire 1 and the spiral rod 2, when, the spiral rod 2 acts to cut off the ice or snow on the wire 1, and the ice or snow attached to the wire 1 is scraped off.</p> |
