PURPOSE:To reduce the load of a valve system by forming a movable pin of a porous material in a switchover mechanism for switching over plural cam followers to connecting and connection releasing positions. CONSTITUTION:Low-speed and high-speed cams 3, 4 are provided on a cam shaft 2 while cam followers 6, 7 are provided on a rocker shaft 5 being opposite to the cams 3, 4 respectively. A movable connecting pin 18 for connecting both cam followers and a stopper pin 19 for restricting the connecting pin 18 are provided between the cam followers 6, 7 and the pins 10, 19 are formed with an iron group or a copper group sintered metal. Thereby, the pins can be made lighter reducing the load of a valve system.
