PURPOSE:To prevent such a copy that an image is cut from being generated by inhibiting copying operation when detecting the size at the time of arranging two originals in a conveyance direction being larger than an entire exposure area in two-sheet original feed mode. CONSTITUTION:An original is conveyed from a tray 111 onto original glass 19 by pinch rollers 121 and 122, etc., and a conveyor belt 125 and arranged. The pinch roller 121 is provided with a sensor SE3 for original width detection and a sensor SE5 for original length detection. Then the original is discharged to a tray 135 through a roller 131, etc., after being exposed by an optical system 20. An original image obtained by the optical system 20 is projected on a photosensitive drum 10 and a developing device 14, a transfer device 15, and a fixing device 43 are put in operation to copy the image to copying paper sent from a paper feed cassette 30. When the copying operation is performed in two-sheet original feed mode and the size of the two arranged originals is larger than the entire exposure area, the copying operation is inhibited. Therefore, such a copy that an image is cut is prevented from being generated in two-sheet original mode. |
