PURPOSE:To shorten the access time by managing a free queue so that the idle queue blocks are extracted and connected with each other via a single queue terminal. CONSTITUTION:The idle queue blocks are extracted and connected with each other via a single queue terminal (3) at least to a free queue 2. In other words, a last-in/first-out (LIFO) stack structure is secured for the idle queue blocks held by the queue 2 since they have no sequentialness when an active queue holding a data block to be processed is managed together with a free queue holding an idle queue block. Thus the idle queue blocks are extracted and connected with each other via a single queue terminal. Therefore just a single queue terminal suffices and at the same time the access time is shortened since the leading queue is always processed. |
