<p>PURPOSE:To avoid malfunctions caused by a touch between a case and the elbow of an operator or the bending of the case in an input mode, by setting dot spacers close to each other in a frame form between resistance layers. CONSTITUTION:When a point P is pushed on an insulated sheet 4, the sheet 4 is bent and resistance layers 2 and 5 are brought into contact with each other at the point P. The potential of the point P is detected in both X and Y axis directions with the scan voltage applied to both layers 2 and 5. Thus the pressed point P is recognized to both X and Y axis coordinates. However the sheet 4 has no bending and both layers 2 and 5 are not brought into contact with each other despite the push given to a place 10 near the end of the sheet 4 where a frame-shaped case 9 overlaps since dot spacers 7 are set close to each other at the place 10. In such a constitution, no input is possible advantageously at a part hidden by the case 9 even though this part is bent. Even in such a case, the input is possible at the center part of an input devices.</p> |
