PURPOSE:To know the photographing range of a camera even in the position to be photographed by mounting a projecting lens in the front surface of a camera main body incorporating a light source and an irradiation range specifi cation frame and equipping a device which makes the optical axis formed by the light source, the specification frame and the lens close to and parallel with the optical axis of an optical system for photographing in the camera. CONSTITUTION:A photographing range confirming device 10 is constituted of the light source 11 which lights at the time of using the camera X, a condenser 12, the specification frame 13 for adjusting the irradiation range to a photographing range and the projecting lens 14 of the aperture part of the front frame of the main body 1 and makes the axis parallel with the optical axis of the optical system for photographing. In case of usual photographing, a person in the position to be photographed can rapidly know whether he is within the photographing range by himself or if he goes to the position to be photographed after a timer is ON and he visibly recognizes the irradiated light from the light source part 11 through the lens 14, he can know that he is surely within the photographing range.
