PURPOSE:To highly stabilize the triboelectrostatic chargeability of a toner and to improve moisture resistance, durability, etc., by incorporating specific elements into a required two-component type developer. CONSTITUTION:The two-component developer is formed of a coated carrier to prevent the adhesion of liberated toner slag and the adhesion of the fine particles added to the toner and a nonmagnetic toner. Positive chargeable fine silica particles subjected to a surface treatment are incorporated into this developer to impact the stable and high positive triboelectrostatic chargeability to the toner, by which the moisture resistance is improved. In addition, the flowability of the developer is enhanced and the resistance to flawing is imparted to a photosensitive body. Fluorine polymer particles are incorporated therein as well so that the triboelectrostatic chargeability is additionally enhanced and the fluctuations in electrostatic charge are decreased even after long-term use. The durability is thereby improved and further, the generation of flawing of a cleaning blade and staining of the surface of the photosensitive body is prevented. The triboelectrostatic chargeability of the toner is, therefore, highly stabilized and various characteristics including the moisture resistance, durability, etc., are enhanced.
