STRUCTURE FOR DUAL BEAM PIEZOELECTRIC RESONATOR

PURPOSE:To reduce a leak of vibration energy by providing notchs of necessary depth in boundary parts between a beam as a vibration part and support parts at both ends of the beam as stress application parts for the beam. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of the columnar beam 1 as the vibration part are coupled by the supporting parts 3 of large area across boundary parts 2 which are a little bit wider than the beam. The columnar beams 1 are arrayed in parallel at a necessary interval and both ends of both beams 1 are coupled integrally; and the boundary parts 2 between the supporting parts 3 and beam part are made narrower than the supporting parts 3 and wider than the beam part 1. Then the notchs 4 of necessary depth are formed in the boundary parts 2. Consequently, the leak of vibration energy is reduced greatly to increase the sharpness of resonance, so the load on the side of an oscillation circuit is reduced and variation in frequency due to disturbance is suppressed.
