摘要 PURPOSE:To add alloy additives to a molten metal in high yield, by inserting additives into a metallic tube of the same substance as that of a molten metal, by regulating the inside of the tube to inert-gaseous atmosphere, and then by inserting the above tube into the molten metal at the time of adding alloy additives to a molten metal. CONSTITUTION:At the time of adding alloy additives into molten metal, alloy, etc., wires 2 of alloy additives are inserted in a bundle into a protecting tube 1 composed of a metal of the same substance as that of the molten metal or, in the case of alloy, composed of a base metal, which is caulked 3 in a proper position for the prevention of falling out of the tube. This tube is inserted into a protective fitting 5 provided on one end of a pipelike jig 4 and if fixed, and then, an inert gas of N2, etc., is introduced into the tube 1 from a hose 7 and the internal air is eliminated. By inserting the above-mentioned tube into the molten metal to carry out addition by melting, the alloy additives can be added into the molten metal in extremely high yield, while eliminating the waste of the alloy additives due to oxidation.
