PURPOSE:To detect the actions of a floating type head slider with high accuracy by obtaining simultaneously the difference and sum of the output voltage of respective plurally divided electrodes. CONSTITUTION:The action of a floating type head slider 2 is machine, voltage converted by respective element pieces 18 and 19 of a piezoelectric element 10 divided into two, and appears as the change of the voltage at divided electrodes 11 and 12. The output voltage of the electrodes 11 and 12 is supplied to a differential amplifying group 20, a difference A-B of an amplifying output is equivalent to the rotation moment of the piezoelectric element 10 as the difference in the acceleration of the thickness direction added as element 18 and 19 and a sum output voltage of the electrodes 11 and 12 shows the means value of the acceleration of the thickness direction added to the element pieces 18 and 19. The slider 2 to flow and travel on a magnetic disk by an air flow 8 from outputs A-B and A+B-2E is brought into contact with a fine projection 6 and a dust 7 on the disk and at the time of the movement, the two-dimen sional action is detected.
