<p>PURPOSE:To surely prevent a buckling phenomenon and a two-sheet discharge phenomenon by fitting a separating roller which is adapted to rotate by only a predetermined angle in a sheet pay-out direction, overcoming an urging means, on a gate roller shaft. CONSTITUTION:When a pay-out roller 7 and an auxiliary pay-out roller 12 are rotated, the frontmost banknote A pressed by a pressing plate 4 is paid out through between the pay-out roller 7 and a gate roller 9 and through between a separating roller 20 and an idle roller 25. That is, when the first one of banknotes A is inserted into between the separating roller 20 and the idle roller 25, the separating roller 20 is rotated by a predetermined angle theta in the direction in which the banknotes A are paid out under friction force in the pay-out direction, and is locked at the rotated position. From this condition, the banknotes A are pulled out by the conveying force of the conveying path, and after the first one of the banknotes A is paid out, the separating roller 20 is reversed in the direction opposite to the pay-out direction due to the recovery force of a coil spring 23 so that it is returned to its original position.</p> |
