PURPOSE:To produce a small quantity of various multi-layer plastics molded bodies useful as ornamental articles or daily necessaries, by a method wherein a plurality of plastic sheet materials facing to each other whose colors and kinds are different from each other are joined to each other, cut off along the surface meeting at right angles with a joint surface and a cut off surface is ground at need. CONSTITUTION:A multi-layer molded body 1 is obtained by a method wherein a block 3 to be obtained by joining resin materials 2 of raw materials composed of each of rectangular unit sheets, which are in colors of red 2r, orange 2o, yellow 2y, green 2g, blue 2b, indigo 2i and purple 2v in imitation, for example, of seven colors of a rainbow, in order in a facial direction of the sheets is met at right angles with the surfaces to be joined, cut off along the surface ABCD running along a longitudinal direction of the block 3 and the surface to be cut off is ground at need. Synthetic resin includes any kinds of resins, possessing rigidity to such an extent as to enable cutting-off and grinding, and especially polymethyl methacrylate is optimum from view points of light transmission properties, shock resistance and weather resistance. Monomer or prepolymer of the resin of the same kind as the unit sheet to be joined is most preferable as an adhesive agent for unification. It is ideal that a joint surface is as smooth as possible, free from a bubble and joining is uniform.
