PURPOSE:To attain an excellent sealing ability, prevent gathering of container cover and facilitate container opening by forming a container with a laminated material consisting chiefly of a metal foil of a given thickness, and heat sealing the flange and cover with different seal strength caused between sealing areas with and without pressure receiving face. CONSTITUTION:The thickness of a metal foil of which a laminated material forming a container consists chiefly is not less than 70mum. A container 1 is placed in a cavity 21 of a lower jig 20 and a flange 2 thereof is placed on a pressure receiving face 23. The flange 2 extends outwardly of the pressure receiving face 23 by an approximately two-thirds of the flange width and a cover 3 is placed on the container 1. The flange 2 and the cover 3 are compressed by the pressure receiving face 23 of the lower jig 20 and a pressure applying face 12 of an upper jig 10. The portion of the flange 2 extending outwardly of the pressure receiving face 23 is also lightly attached to the cover 3. In this condition, the upper jig 10 and the lower jig 20 are heated by heaters 13 and 24, respectively, whereby the flange 2 and the cover 3 are heat sealed together. |
