In the case of the known optical storage discs, an information track is in each case assigned a neighbouring intermediate area as a guide track. This area cannot be used for the storage of information. Between two neighbouring guide tracks (32) there is in each case arranged an information area (35), which is suitable for receiving a plurality of mutually parallel information tracks (36). A guide track (32) may consequently be assigned in each case a plurality of closely neighbouring information tracks.
