The actuator has spring contact tongues orthogonal to its longitudinal axis with an associated switching element engaging one tongue main surface. The spring contact tongues main surfaces are parallel to the actuator longitudinal axis, one end being held at a stationary terminal contact portion, while the other end can abut a stationary counter contact portion under prestress. A spring contact tongue (1b) spaced from the actuator (2a) and/or the switching element (2b) associated with the actuator, exerts a force orthogonally to the main surfaces (1b',1b'') of the spring contact tongue. Pref. the switching element is in the form of a profile body, slidable in an aperture (3') of a component (3), stationary in the switch housing. USE/ADVANTAGE - Circuit breaking and making, without excessive transverse loads on spring contact tongue fastening.
