PURPOSE:To enable operation and disassembling/inspection of respective machines independently in parallel by arranging various types of cooling water pumps in respective water take-in paths provided in plural series, and mounting cooling water stopping boards at the primary side of respective types of cooling water pumps. CONSTITUTION:In a cooling water take-in equipment having two series of water take-in paths 1a, 1b, plural types of cooling water pumps 3a, 3b and 4a, 4b are arranged in respective water take-in paths 1a, 1b along the lead-in direction of cooling water as shown by an arrow. Pumps 3a, 3b are circulation pumps for supplying condenser cooling sea water, for example, while the pumps 4a, 4b are machinery cooling pumps for supplying cooling water to heatexchangers for nuclear reactor auxiliary machinery cooler, for example, and they are arranged respectively in pump pits 5a, 5b. Cooling water stop boards 9a, 10a and 9b, 10b are arranged at the primary of respective pumps 3a, 4a. Respective water stop boards 9a, 10a and 9b, 10b have water gate structure liftable/ lowerable in the water take-in paths 1a, 1b.
