There is described a clean-room ceiling system having a supporting profile which is suspended from a ready-installed structure by suspension means and is in the form of longitudinal and transverse beams which are symmetrical with the Z-axis and have horizontal flanges, for the installation of suspended-matter filters from below, and sealing strips between the flanges and the filter frames. The essential feature of the invention is that, for partial compression of the sealing strips (3), (18) between the flanges (20) and the filter frames (25 and 27), a metallic contact via a corresponding spacing element (30, 38) is provided. Furthermore, the filter frame (25) has flanges (27) which point horizontally outwards for fastening to the supporting profile (1). This affords the advantage that a constant sealing-off of the dust side from the clean-room side is obtained, and that rapid and trouble-free mounting or exchange of the filters can be carried out from below (24). <IMAGE>
