PURPOSE:To provide easy-to-see indication of the time and display the residual time under operation by furnishing a light source in an air guide, allowing the light therefrom to illuminate the object to be cooked through an air suction hole of a heating chamber, and also lighting the dial to indicate the time. CONSTITUTION:An electric lamp 13 is furnished in an air guide 24, which leads the wind sent by a blower to a heating chamber 11 from a magnetron, and the light from this lamp 13 is allowed to illuminate a dial 28 made of a material having light penetrative characteristic such as synthetic resin or glass through a light penetrating part 25 furnished in the side wall 24 of air guide. A control panel is also equipped with a light penetrating part in such a position as facing the dial 28 to allow through- seeing thereof. Thereby the light from the electric lamp 13 illuminates the object to be cooked placed in the heating chamber upon passing through a heating chamber air suction hole 12 as well as the dial having light penetrating property for indication of the time, that passes through the light penetrating part of the control panel and serves for seeing. According to this arrangement, the set cooking time is indicated in such a manner as easy to check even in case the place the high frequency heating device is installed is dark, and thereby the residual time can be checked easily under operation.
