<p>A tampon applicator 10, 60 has an inner tube 12, 62 adapted to store a tampon 32 therein. An outer tube 11, 61 is slidably disposed over the inner tube and has a distal discharge end for insertion into the body of a user. A sleeve 13, 63 is disposed between said outer and inner tubes and provides a tab 27, 77 for engaging the inner tube to limit sliding movement of the inner tube and prevent its complete withdrawal from the outer tube. The sleeve may include a further tab 26, 76 for resisting movement of the tampon as the inner tube is partially withdrawn relative to the outer tube.</p> |
