PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in resiliency and decreased in JIS hardness at low temperatures, by mixing a modified diene polymer rubber-containing rubber component obtained from a diene polymer rubber having active alkali metal terminals, etc. and a nitroalkyl acrylate compound with additives. CONSTITUTION:A diene monomer is polymerized or copolymerized with another monomer copolymerizable therewith by using an alkali metal catalyst to obtain a diene polymer rubber having active alkali metal terminals or a conjugated diene rubber (a) to which the alkali metal is added. Component (a) is reacted with 0.05-10mol., per mol of the alkali metal catalyst used in the production of component (a), a nitroalkyl acrylate compound of the formula (wherein R1-2 are each an alkyl and n is an integer) at room temperature to 100 deg.C for several sec-several hr to obtain a modified diene polymer rubber (A). A rubber component (B) obtained by mixing at least 10wt.% component A with, e.g., emulsion- polymerized styrene/butadiene copolymer rubber is mixed with various additives (C) with a mixer such as a roller or a Banbury mixer.
