PURPOSE:To improve the recording density of an optical tape to be recorded by closely arranging a filter on which plural holes are disposed at an interval corresponding to a picture element pitch to the optical tape and receiving the transmission light of this filter by a solid-state image pickup element. CONSTITUTION:The filter 6 closely arranged to a tape like recording medium 3 on which the plural holes are disposed in a specific arrangement at the interval corresponding to the picture element pitch of the solid-state image pickup element is provided. When the pattern of 1mum pitch, for instance is recorded on the optical tape 3 with respect to a CCD image pickup element 7 of the picture element pitch of 15mum, for instance, the optical tape 3 is fed stepwise at (m) pitches, for instance. Then, a light from a light emitting element 4 is arranged to a parallel light by an optical lens 5 and the transmission light of the optical tape 3 is received by the CCD image pickup element through the filter plate 6. Thereby, even when the pitch of a recording pattern is smaller than the picture element pitch of the CCD image pickup element 7, recording data can be reproduced. |
