PURPOSE:To reduce variation of photographability due to variation of treating time or treating temp. and to stabilize the photographability of a color negative picture image by using a specified dye-providing compd. as a component of a photosensitizing element. CONSTITUTION:Internal latent image type photosensitive silver halide, a binder, and a dye-providing compd. (e.g. a compd. expressed by the formula) which liberates a diffusive dye in inverse correspondence to a reaction for reducing Ag ion to Ag, are contained in a photosensitive element. The photosensitive element is processed by nucleating development after image exposure or simultaneously with image exposure in the presence of a reducing agent, and a liberated diffusive dye is transferred to a dye fixing element, thus a color negative picture image is formed. In the formula, EAG is a group accepting an electron from a reducible material; X is -N(R<3>)-, -O-, etc.; R<3> is a substituent except H; R<4> is a group of atoms which forms a heterocyclic ring by combining with X or N; 'Time' is a group which liberates a Dye: 'Dye' is a diffusive dye; t is 0, 1. |
