PURPOSE:To properly actuate an earthquake resistant automatic extinguishing device with high response, by a method wherein, during abnormal combustion during deficiency in oxygen, an interlocking body is unlocked from a lock part by means of the deviation force of a thermal deformation element (bimetal). CONSTITUTION:During steady combustion, the temperature of or around the surface of a combustion cylinder 6 keeps a temperature T1 but when a deficiency-in-oxygen state is reached, combustion reaction near the top of a wick 1 is delayed due to deficiency in oxygen in air for combustion, and the reaction temperature is decreased to decrease the combustion amount. Thus, the temperature of the surface or near the combustion cylinder 6 is decreased to T2. In this case, by utilizing a change in temperature, a bimetal 5 situated in contact with or near the surface of the combustion cylinder 6 is deviated. During deficiency in oxygen,by utilizing the deviation force of the bimetal 5, an interlocking body 8 having its tip formed in an inverted L-shape is rotated by means of the deviation force of the bimetal 5. In this case, the interlocking body 8 in an inverted L-shape is unlocked from a lock part 13, it is lowered through the force of a spring 10 or under gravity, and an earthquake resistance automatic extinguishing device 7 is actuated through an actuating frame 9 situated to the lower end of the interlocking body 8 for extinguishment. |
