PURPOSE:To prevent the overlapped copying of a same page by copying only a page added at the time of revising when a revised document is copied in case that the revised document is included in a document file. CONSTITUTION:When both of a document 1 before revising and the revised document 2 are included in the copying area, by the copying operation of the document 1, the whole pages 1 and 2 belonging to the document 1 and 2 but by the copying operation of the revised document 2, only the added page 3 in which a new page flag is '1' is copied and the pages 1 and 2 existing before revising in which the flag is '0' are not copied. Thus as the picture information of the page 1-3 are recorded once in the substantial area of a copy file, the page 1 and 2 are not recorded in overlapping as before.
