PURPOSE:To reduce the clear time of a page memory such as a facsimile equipment or a work station or the like capable of receiving a mix mode by accessing individually or collectively memories storing document information. CONSTITUTION:When a segment reading or writing a data of a 1st memory 2 is subjected to write to a 2nd memory 3 by an I/O write signal from a CPU, a read/write strobe is generated by designating the address of the memory 2. A memory selection signal for the memory 2 is outputted from the block corresponding to the memory 3 with respect to the strobe. In this case, each bit of the memory 3 corresponds to each segment of the memory 2 to access the memory 2 collectively or individually.
