<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the curling of sheets of paper in a paper feeding cassette by installing a paper curl retainer formed with a thin board material having elasticity on a fixed part for mounting a paper feeding cassette, in such a way that it is lightly brought into pressure contact with the front part of sheets of paper housed in the paper feeding cassette at the time of mounting the paper feeding cassette. CONSTITUTION:A paper curl retainer 362 has inclined parts 362a on both ends of its front part to prevent the breakage of the retainer itself and the shifting of the top end side of a sheet of paper at the time of mounting/removing a cassette 300, while its stiffness is made a required minimum to suppress the curling of sheets of paper. Hence, in this option tray 9, even if both side parts of sheets of paper 301 which are fully loaded in the cassette 300 are being curled, the curling of the topmost sheet of paper 301 is suppressed with a stiffness to such an extent that it does not affect the paper feeding of a feed roller 302 by means of the paper curl retainer 362. Thereby, it can be prevented that a curled sheet of paper 301 which is brought into contact with the roller 302 is turned up while preventing a jam caused by curling at the time of conveying, and the like.</p> |
