PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of construction of a continuous electroplating equipment by plating one side of a steel strip at the upper stage and the other side at the middle stage, passing the strip through a reclaim section at the lower stage and circulating a plating soln. from a tank set at the lower stage. CONSTITUTION:A first plating section 11, a second plating section 12 and a reclaim section 13 are formed at the upper, middle and lower stages of a continuous electroplating equipment, respectively. A steel strip 1 is conveyed in the direction of an arrow G and one side of the strip 1 is plated in plating tanks 2 in the section 11. The strip 1 is reversed with deflector rolls 3 and passed through plating tanks 2 in the section 12 to plate the other side. The both-side plated strip 1 is reversed with deflector rolls 4, introduced into the section 3 and drawn out through a drag-out tank 5 and a washing tank 6 in the section 13. A circulation tank 7 is set at the lower stage A and a plating soln. recovered through a pipe 8 is circulated to the plating tanks 2 by a pump 9 through a pipe 10 after the compsn. is regulated.
