PURPOSE:To obtain a seal of high airtightness and liquidtightness, by using elastic material for a penetrating covered cord in case of penetrating a wire through a partition wall between two environments. CONSTITUTION:Through a block 6 processed with metal, ceramics, or the like having a cord penetrating slot 3, a female thread 4, and a cavity 5, a solid wire 1 covered with insulating material 2 is penetrated, and to the wire 1, from the female thread side, elastic material 8 is fitted by a cord through hole 7, and the elastic material 8 is contained in the cavity 5. After that, the male screw 10 of a block 11 with said penetrated wire 1 is engaged with the female thread 4, and when they are tightened, then the elastic material 8 is deformed, and between the block 6 and the elastic material 8, between the insulating- covering material 2 and the elastic material 8, and between the insulating- covering material 2 and the wire 1, the seal of high airtightness and liquidtightness is formed.
