PURPOSE:To simplify equipment and to enhance reliability, by guiding the steam generated in the cooling condenser of a nuclear reactor to an injector and using said injector as a drive source to supply the cooling water of a cooling water tank to the cooling condenser of the nuclear reactor. CONSTITUTION:In the cooling apparatus of this nuclear reactor, an injector 5 using a cooling water tank 9 as a water source is provided and the cooling water supply piping 12 communicating with the injector 5 from the cooling condenser of the nuclear reactor is provided and the injector 5 is opened to the cooling condenser 3 of the nuclear reactor on the emitting side thereof through a water supply piping 13. The steam pressure in the condenser 3 of the nuclear reactor is controlled to pressure suitable for operating the injector 5 by a pressure control valve 6 and a part of the generated steam is supplied to the injector 5 which is, in turn, used as a dive source to suck and pressurize the cooling water from the cooling water tank 9 to replenish the same to the cooling condenser 3 of the nuclear reactor. Since the injector 5 has no movable part and high reliability, it is unnecessary to arrange the same in a superposed state and simple equipment is realized as a whole.
