The appts. comprises a pneumatic interpreter which is fed along the workpiece by a feed unit (14). Also provided are components for determining the interpreter position relative to the workpiece. A pneumatic-electrical convertor is fitted in the pressure line feeding the interpreter, which is a nozzle directed against a workpiece wall. A signal is produced when there is pressure variation in the line due to a variation in distance between the nozzle and the workpiece. A position indicator follows the nozzle in its movement, and produces a signal representing the nozzle position relative to one of reference. A recording unit is triggered by the pressure variation signal, and registers the dimension of the position signal. (Provisional Basic advised in week 84/32) |
