摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of unevenness of a contrast by inverting the polarity of a scanning voltage and a lighting/non-lighting voltage in accordance with a polarity inverting signal and applying it to a scanning electrode and a signal electrode. CONSTITUTION:l=3, (k)=2, one scanning line selection time (t), and one frame (one scanning period) T are assumed and first of all, the polarity inversion is executed by the scanning line selection time of (l) pieces, namely, three pieces, and subsequently, the polarity inversion is executed by the scanning line selection time of (k).(l) pieces, namely, six pieces. That is, the duty of the polarity inversion is set to 1:(k), namely, 1:2. However, in case of this state, DC component is left, therefore, by inserting the polarity inversion signal at every scanning line selection time of natural number multiple of (m), the DC portion can be eliminated to some extent. In order to eliminate entirely said portion, it is desirable that the inversion is executed even times at an equal time interval in a period for selecting a scanning line of natural number multiple of the least common multiple of (m) and (1+k).l. In such a way, the variation of a frequency component of a waveform by a display pattern is reduced by a driving waveform, and also, it does not occur that the frequency component becomes extremely high, and the unevenness of a display contrast is disappeared.
