PURPOSE:To prevent useless consumption of an ink sheet, by a method wherein a rotary drive force transmission means is provided to an ink sheet spool and an ink sheet, and the ink sheet is wound back even before the recording paper is pulled back by reverse rotation of a platen roller. CONSTITUTION:A back tension mechanism 64 installed to one end side of a spool 52a on which an ink sheet 52 is wound gives load when the ink sheet 52 is wound on a spool 53. The ink sheet 52, the spool 53, and a recording paper 54 are, in a rotary free manner, kept at a specific position of a cassette case 51 with a back tension mechanism 64, a winding back gear 65, a support member 65, a winding gear 67, and support members 68a, 68b. When an ink sheet cassette 16 is positioned, the winding back gear 65 and the winding gear 67 are respectively engaged with idle gears 104, 105 of a driving means 77. A driving force from the driving means 77 are transmitted to the winding back gear 65 and the winding gear 67 thereby, and winding of the ink sheet 52 or winding back of the ink sheet 52 are executed by the driving means 77. |
