PURPOSE:To reduce an off-track amt. by arranging the both not to be superposed in the case of projecting the shape of a rotary type actuator in the axial direction of the spindle of a magnetic disk. CONSTITUTION:The dimension and shape of a rotary type actuator 4 itself and the arm 3 of a magnetic head 2 are decided so as not to superpose on the magnetic disk 1 in the case of projecting the plane shape of the actuator 4 of rotary type holding the arm 3 of the magnetic head 2 and arm 3 in the axial direction of the spindle part 5 holding the magnetic disk 1 on its shape. For the insertion of the magnetic head 2 into the magnetic disk 1, the rotary type actuator 4 is dropped into a case 8 from the axial direction of the spindle 5 and located at the specified position. The magnetic head 2 is inserted between the magnetic disk 1 by rotating the arm 3 of the magnetic head 2 centering around a rotary center shaft 7 without sliding the rotary type actuator 4 on a base 6. The off track amt. due to the initial stress release is thus reduced.
