PURPOSE:To enable high-SN flow rate detection by detecting the representative tooth profile of a noncircular gear which rotates in proportion to a flow rate and tooth profile based upon the representative tooth profile. CONSTITUTION:A top tooth-profile position is led to a start position input terminal 101, amplified 102, and inputted to a counter 105, which is reset. A signal of a next tooth profile to which this reset signal is inputted is inputted to a tooth profile signal input terminal 103, amplified 104, and counted 105. This tooth profile signal is outputted to a ROM 106 stored with the weight of the flow rate which accords with the order of tooth profiles. Then corresponding flow rate data is inputted from the ROM 106 to an adder 107. The tooth profile signal, on the other hand, is converted 108 into a pulse width with specific width every time it is inputted, and then inputted to the adder 107. Then weight data on the flow rate from the ROM 106 is inputted to the adder 107 according to a sum signal and a flow rate corresponding to a tooth profile T43 is integrated 106. Similarly, a flow rate corresponding to a tooth profile T43 at next moment is integrated.
