PURPOSE:To enhance the strength of the terminals of the films on the side having been wound around an article and that of the terminals on the side used in the next packing work and to simultaneously treat the terminals of the films, by interposing a specific strip like adhesive piece in the interval between the films in a clasped state to weld the same to the films from the outside. CONSTITUTION:When an article (a) is moved to a predetermined position by a press feed jig 3 so as to exceed the films (b) bonded to each other provided across the article (a) under tension, the films (b) become the state extending along three surfaces of the article (a). Air cylinders 6, 6 are driven to allow the films (b) to overlap and match with each other by the press pieces 7... of operation members 5, 5. The films (b) on both sides are sucked and held by suction mechanisms 9... and the overlapped films (b) are cut by cutting mechanisms 8. The suction mechanisms 9... are slightly retracted to open the end parts of the films (b) in a V-shape and a strip like connection piece 12 wherein a heat-meltable resin layer 14 is provided to one surface of a base piece 13 is folded double to be arranged in each of the intervals of the films (b) in the lateral direction of the films (b) so as to turn the resin layer 14 to the outside. The cutting mechanism 8 and the suction mechanisms 9 are again mutually matched and opposed to weld the cut end edges of both films by the cutting mechanisms 8.
